Hiya!! My name is Laura and I'm running my very first Race for Life in Cardiff in July in support of my mum and grandmother!

I'm so excited and I've been training for a while now- at first I couldn't even run for five minutes but with a lot of sweat and support from my co-runner Kat, I can now do the whole distance! I have to wear two bras tho :)

I just wanted to say good luck to everyone who is yet to run this year and a great big thank-you to those who have finished!
Together we can beat cancer!

hiya- just wondering if anyone who has done the race for life before could answer a question for me.
sorry they may sound a bit odd, but i am a bit odd. you know when you get to your chosen venue, do you have to que up to have your name ticked off a list or is it just a case of flashing your number as you enter the venue.
i have a bit of a strange phobia of queing, so i can cope with a quick flash of my number as i enter- but i dont want to have to stand there whilst they check my name off a list

sorry if that sounds odd. does anyone know - thanks

I have done the race for life before but this time I race for life in celebration of my uncle Tony who strongly fought bowel cancer last year and recovered fully.

hey all me and my team of friends are planning on running(or walking) the 5k in aberdeen, but for a change we have decided to run it 3 legged to see if we raise more money...
