First ever triathlon - The Stroke Association

Hey everyone!

This is my very first triathlon, and I'm running for the stroke association in memory of my Grandmother who passed away a few months ago.

I'm really looking forward to it but I'm a bit apprehensive.

There is 1 big question I wanted to resolve and that is, do you take off your wetsuit when you have finished the swim to go on to the cycle?

It will be my first time. Got my wetsuit today and I'm excited. I honestly think that is a stupid thing to be when facing a triathlon!

Just want to mention this great event on August 4th at Eton College Rowing Centre in Windsor.. raising money for Whizz Kidz, British Red Cross and Consortium for Street Children.

Have a look at this event www.westwight.co.uk/triathlon It's a great event for first timers because the organisers go to great lengths to ensure that all the marshalls have lists of competitors names and numbers - so you get cheered on by them all!! It's also very friendly, but efficient.

If you've done a tri before then don't miss this one, because it's also challenging enough to be worth the trip to the Isle of Wight.

The North Lincs Adventure Challenge

The Falcon North Lincolnshire Adventure Challenge is a triathlon which is run on the last Sunday of May. There are three events consisting of: a 36K cycle race on the roads around Brigg, 2 laps (10K) in a canoe or kayak around the Brigg 'Island' (that piece of land between the Old and New River Ancholme) and a 10K mini-marathon.
