Hi Jane, it's lovely to see you back again. How is your lad doing?
IOW was good fun but very very tiring, incredibly hilly. We did the 55kms not the 100kms. It will be nice to see you again in the New Forest, hopefully the weather will be lovely.
Julz, Elaine, Doreen or anyone else in the area, do you fancy a bike ride next week. I'm off on Mon, Tue & Wed.

And I'm not sad replying to my own post. But........... has anyone noticed that we have slipped into 5 months and should be following the training plan that AFC put in our packs!

Hi Girls,
Not been on for a few days and its gone mad with postings. It took me ages to catch up.
I have to say I am a bit worried that I seem to be the only one on the second ride. I wonder how hard it would be to change.
Is everyone going on Sunday?
Donna I didnt meet up with my cycle buddy this week, because I have had a chest infection, but I will sort something out for the weekend.

Hey Sue,
Being as we've been all been chatting why don't you see if you can swap rides. Deena managed it! I spoke to her her on Saturday and by what Tuesday she had managed to swap dates!
How are you feeling, have never had a chest infection, but do sympathise as my daughter got Pnumonia and it changed so suddenly from a chest infection to Pnumonia that it was a huge shock, don't do too much too soon. Hoping to meet loads of people on Sunday, if I ever manage to find my way there.
Ohh the wine worked, we've talked out horrid work situations and are now ready for the morning!

Hey Julz
are you ok,hows the fundraising planning going?Any more thoughts on what to do? we dont want you not to come, you didnt get to India but you can get to Cuba....
checking back through your posts you have had some really good idea's, why not try them again,
you were going to do a non uniform day at school? go talk to the head, and see what you can arrange, if not your daughters school, go find a massive one somewhere else, take all your stuff with you and talk them into it...is there any large business/offices near you, would they do a relaxed dress day?
you were going to sell fudge & cookies at work, check out with the boss and do some cooking.. or ask a local small store if they would sell some for you,
are you not doing your cuban funday now? what about organinsing a cuban evening instead of a band? mojito cocktail bar, havana cigars, cuban music & salsa...
not sure what the local cuban dish is?
you mentioned a cake sale at school, again go see the head,or get a cake stall at a summer fare,
why not try or another bag packing date? they gave you a few dates before, and a couple of guys on JG raised a grand in a weekend at morrisons,
i know its hard i almost dropped out as was almost to target but now have, to pacify hubby, raise all my costs as well which means i have to get another £2,000 in to meet fundraising and cover costs.. otherwise i cant go.. and it makes it all the more difficult as i work for a charity who are fundraising constantly nd am on the fundraising commitees for both the school and rugby club, so my options are very limited, but i am determined to get to cuba and i have found the secret to raising money is food & drink....
Come on Julz, you can do it, get a little note book, get some plans ,talk to people
once you get into the swing you ill get there
Hugs
Angie

Hi there
Can anyone tell me roughly how long is it after sending funds off that you get a reciept? I sent mine off just over a week ago and am desperate to get a reciept back so I can ask my employer to match it, they have a limited amount to give way each financial year and I dont want to miss out.
Thanks
lesley

I'm going on sunday, just not sure whether to catch the train or not. It should be free parking on a Sunday.
Yeh, my daughter passed her driving test today. I can now say "Chris, can you give me a lift to .........". I don't have to be a taxi driver anymore.
Look forward to seeing lots of you on Sunday, haven't got a clue what they do.

Congraulations to your daughter for passing her test. Thats great!
I was wondering about getting the train on Sunday, but I have found out there are engineering works between Winchester and Alton and on the Southampton line as well, making an hour journey take 3 hours. I think I'll drive! Do you or anyone in Hampshire area want a lift? I was planning to go up the M3.
It will be great to meet up with people again.
