04-25-2007, 21:25 andie Joined on 03-06-2007 Posts 10 WOMENS HYDRO ACTIVE CHALLENGE BIRMINGHAM 16th SEPTEMBER 2007 Is anybody else running the birmingham 5k womens hydro active challenge this year. I did this last year and really enjoyed it. I will be runing for my Children with Leukaemia for my 5 year old daughter who has leukaemia. My friend Sam will be running for Meningitis UK as her daughter had meningitis when she was only 9 months old. My other friend karen will also be running but has not yet decided who she will be running for.Her son Liam has just finished his treatment for leukaemia. Its my 5km race and to be honest the first time ive run since i was about 12 so im getting lots of practise in. Im running for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust since my new baby cousin was born with CF this year. My fundraising page is www.justgiving.com/sophieegleton. 09-08-2007, 16:34 julieb21 Joined on 09-08-2007 Posts 2 Re: WOMENS HYDRO ACTIVE CHALLENGE BIRMINGHAM 16th SEPTEMBER 2007 hi   my namesi  julie im 42 and  i have entered  the hydro womens active , i live in london and am travelling upto birmingham to do this, due to ankle injury i am going to haveto walk this event now.. much to my upset.. and doctors advise but looking forward to it, im doing this for children with leukamiea, i lost my mother in law to leukaemia and know peoles kids who have been undergoing treatment so it means alot. i have never done anything like this before.. do many people walk it??????good luck!!!!    Report
