Hi Mark

I am doing IMUK, did last years and this year doing it for Leukemia Research. How about yourself?

I am raising money for the Stroke Assoication. This will be first IM, I helped marshall their last year to see what the event was like. A few weeks ago I went down their and did a lap of the cycle course, it was hillier than I expected.

Nice one, I was biking the route at the weekend. It is fast from Sherborne to Dorc, both legs have some big hills in them but plenty of scope for recovery. Whats you plan, finish or a specific time

The way out was easier with one noteable hill at lyons gate, I found the hills on the way back harder and they seemed to be longer steady inclines. When I did it their was a noticable wind from the NW and some hail when I get to the downhill bit.

Plan to finish in under 17 hours however my current estimation/guess is 13-14 hours (ish).

I'm doing the Tesco Triathlon (sprint event) August 4th. Should be fun. Check it out:

How did the 70.3 go?

I'm assuming it was hillier than the Sherborne cycle if I remember rightly, I did Wimbleball last year and my first IM this year.

What was the run like in comparing the two?Ick! [+o(]

I'm up for IMUK and raising money for the NSPCC.

I went over at lunch time (I live locally) to register and went round most of the bike course on my motorbike.

It's all pulling together and looks VERY imminent.  Oh it is!

Strange - I've cycled the bike course a few times (never three in a row!!!) but it seems a LOT longer on the motorbike today.

Homer Simpson is still there beside the Cerne Giant although he's a little brown now....  You have to look back quickly as you go past the viewing car park but please don't crash.  Unfortunately we're cycling the wrong way to get a good view.

It was pretty wet today but the forecast is OK for Sunday.  I'm kind of worried I've got a cold coming on (after Sunday's Swanage Tri).  Oh dear.  Bed early and plenty of Vit C.
