Starlight walk
Reply Quote

My sister and I took part in the Starlight Walk last weekend. What a great atmosphere! It was held exactly ten years to the day from when my Mum died of cancer. We thought it would be a great way to mark the occasion and remember someone we loved very much. Maybe the sad man who felt the need to complain should try to remember that most of us walking that night will have seen our loved ones die and were doing something to ensure that other people's relatives have the benefit of wonderful Hospice facilities and caring staff. Maybe instead of complaining on this site he could send a donation along with a letter to the organisers whining about how we kept him awake. I  hope that neither he nor his family ever have to use the Peace Hospice, wonderful though it is but maybe he could spare a bit of compassion for those of us who have first hand experience of their work. Surely he could put earplugs in once a year! I wish him joy and happiness because he doesn't seem a very happy person to me. Maybe we should all say a prayer for him! I'm still hobbling a bit from the walk but I can't stop smiling at having done it. I hope you all feel the same.

Love
