Hi Guys
well another sunny day, had little un out on his bike yesterday, can go in a straight line but falls of when he has to deviate from his line!! will try to get him out everyday as desperate to be able to do family rides, Ethan , the oldest is great so hopefully with a bit of practice each day Ciaran will be speeding off with us soon.
Sarah, how did your sister get on, if thats not to personal a question. Send her our best wishes.
Donna, still working out costings for puds, have a few orders so may be able to get ingredients in bulk, but so far is looking like
£10 for a small pud,about 340G serves 2-3 people,
£15 for a large pud, approx 680G serves 6-8 people
and for the really greedy a whopping pud for 12-14 people about 1600g for £25
They are made with barley wine, stout and rum!!
they do have nuts in though, so let me know if anyone is allergic!! they are yummy!!!
they come in a microwavable dish to save steaming time, and are beautifully wrapped too!!! They are also made on stir up sunday!!
Im thinking this is a good fundraising idea as I love cooking and love christmas!! Am also thinking about doing christmas door wreaths as used to work in a florist, actually may just do christmas fundraising!!!
Oh well back to kids , get them out while the sun shines!!
Spek Soon

Got my page sorted out now... same url.. yippee
Christmas fundraiser saounds great, I can't do baking or floristry. Not really very creative like that much to my shame. I am more technical.. lol
Did my Active Options program today ready to start at the gym again. This one is a referral through my docs which gives me inclusive use of Leisure Centre for £25 a month. Including Gym, Swim, G-cycle classes & Créche, but only before 4pm and all weekend. So not bad, and means I'll use it loads. Can't wait to get underway.
Right off out the the park with the girls today.. did the beach yesterday, never again at the weekend, the traffic was horrendous!
Happy cycling

Thanks guys for asking after my sister - it was unsuccessful this time. She is totally devastated. She's been through so much in the past few years and is starting to think life is against her. Thats why we need to raise all this money for this research - without it Emma would have NO chance of getting a healthy baby, with it - she still has another chance.
Anyway, did another 10 miles last night - feel a bit stiff today but nothing too bad. My brother is a keen mountain biker - in fact he used to compete. My mum had told him about what I was doing and he rang yesterday and chatted for ages (very unlike him - I can go months without talking to him). WHen I got off the phone my mum rang me to say he was really dissapointed that I had not invited him along!! I had to explain that he would need to have a sex change!!
Anyway, must do some work!

Hi to all,
Sorry to hear about your sister Sarah, is she having her treatments on the nhs? it gets so expensive otherwise? Hopefully next time it will work!
put me down for the middle sized one Angie, no nut allergies in our house, shame, that would mean more for me though. What about yours and Julz's little uns going without stabilizers on the same day, show kids some sun! Good luck with the new gym Julz, checked out your just giving page, your girls are really pretty, its a lovely photo. Like Angie, I like to keep up.
Speak to you later

My 4 year old is miles away from cycling on his own - so you guys are doing well! Thats why we have the tagalong that fits onto the back of dads bike.
Article goes into local paper this week, and I have done a big piece in a local families magazine - hopefully that will generate a bit of publicity and sponsership.
See ya soon

Now Ciaran has mastered the art of cycling thats all he wants to do!!! But last week he didnt even want to know!! just goes to show a little patience goes a long way. Its also a great way for him to be active and be involved in my challenge, he now thinks hes going to be my cycle trainer for Cuba!!

Morning.. off to the park again so Dani can practise some more. I need to get a tag-a-long for her anyway as she isn't ready to go on road, and wouldnt be able to do distances. They are a great invention. Dani has a trailer at the mo which is great though.
Good luck with the article Sarah, you'll have to scan it and show us when it comes out, or if it goes online.
That's is cute of Ciaran being your trainer.. aww

Hi ladies,
Sarah good luck with the publicity. Let us know how you get on with that one.
I was a bit concerned about fund raising over xmas, Angie thanks for the ideas, will maybe (if I can stand it) only because mine are older, offer baby sitting services, but definately go for the present wrapping idea, how much do you get for babysitting now?
Speak to you all later

Things ticking along slowly on my front, still no cycling, but planning on cycling to work on sunday!! as long as its not pouring down! then will try to cycle to work at least twice per week and try and fit some more in at some point during the week.
fundraising also going slowly but have 14 months left to fret.
Hope you are all ok out there,
happy cycling & fundraising

Hey ladies,
Know you are all probably on your hols, apart from me and Angie, but when you get back this should cheer you up with a giggle. I place a phone that someone gave me on ebay to sell for charity, all the bidding was going really nicely, got to £45.00 with only 2 minutes to go. Suddenly 2 bids popped up, one of £100, and one of £102. As a newbie ebayer, I was quite excited, Ha! it was some one in Nigeria! So much for my first foray into online fundraising. By the way Sarah, how did your advertising go? Julz how is the planning for your Cuban funday coming on?

Hi
You probably wont remember my one and only earlier post, where I was agonising over making the decision to do the Cuba cycle ride. Well, I've sent in the forms and I'm waiting for the letter to say I'm in...Wow!
I was so worried about the fundraising side of it, but i finally mentioned it to the girls I work with, and they are so keen to help - it brought tears to my eyes! They have offered to be my fundraising gang, and as soon as I get my acceptance, we are going to meet to plan our strategy...
All of you seem really friendly, please keep your fingers crossed for me that I get in.
bye for now
Sue
