Hi everyone, thanks so much for all your welcomes and support. Training is still suspended cause of my chest infection but had a succesful bid off ebay last night for a turbo trainer so it should arrive in a few days so can break myself in gently. Had an Ann Summers party last night raised £24, going to meet Suzanne for the first time tonight at the barn dance would like to find out who does the music/ dancing instructions for you ? Also recieved a letter the other day following my article in our local newspaper - from a elderley gentleman who had been in India in his 40's and wanted to wish me luck and enclosed a cheque for £25, arent there some lovely people out there.
Looking to seeing you all soon x

Hi Sarah, Just to say that for some reason the email I sent you last night has been returned. Don't understand why. Off to Body jam (!!) class now, but will try again later. I will pull your email off the contact list we were sent and try it that way. Failing that I am always at the end of the phone - number on the list. Sarah x

Hi Sarah, yes I'm thrilled! It was so generous of them to donate the tickets and of the person who made the winning bid. Also at least one person has donated having seen the item on Fairport's web site which is great as well. I'm just hoping he will be the first of many....

Barn Dance went well, made £405, which means I have met my £3000 target, such a relief, I haven't got to organise anything more, anything that comes in now is a bonus, I now have no excuse not to knuckle down to the cycling, especialy now the clocks have gone forward too, more time in the evenings!

hi guys, sorry its been a while, beengoing through rough time at moment. sadly i think i'm going to have to pull out of the peak district ride and that probably means that Heather won't go either. would someone please let me know if the 2 places can be filled, otherwise let me know how much i need to pass on. (the fundraising is hard enough withoiut being out of pocket through organising a get together)
sorry guys! was really looking forward to it.

Well girls - been and bought a cycle rack this morning - just need to work out how to use the cross bar converter so my bike hangs correctly and I am all set!
Just got to get used to the overhang - I have only got a ford ka....should be interesting, driving along the winding roads to the Peaks!!!
Really looking forward to it, See you soon!

Hi Sarah - Tried out our bike rack on my car yesterday - usually my husband puts it on his. The good news is it works. The bad news is that I can't get my bike off or on without some help! Hopefully between us we will manage things!! Ann

Me too!!! I did say to my daughter that I could do with a footstool! I am hoping that the cross bar convertor might make it easier....Will have a look later on tonight. These manufacturers/ designers are obviously all big strong men!!! Like you say though we can all pitch in. Also bought some "slime" for a quick puncture repair - hopefully won't need to use it though!

Hi All
Haven't fitted my cycle rack yet. Have a few things top do before next week, cycle rack fitting is one, getting some cycling shorts is another. Just been out for the first time on my bike with my new helmet, did a 5 mile loop on the roads, couple of easy hills, just to get my confidence up. Came home thinking how the hell am I going to do 26 miles in 12 days???!!!!
Better with these gears than on my husbands bike but still a lot of crunching gears so not sure what I am doing wrong.
Can't wait to meet you all, need some motivation right now. Off for a shower see you soon
