Thank you Sarah, it would be a cheque in the post. It can either be in my name or Christine's.

Sarah,
what a fantastic gesture your daughter Christine is making. Can I be the first to offer you a mothers support outreach team. It was hard when my daughters took off to far away places when in my bleary eyes they were still being nurtured and protected from the outside world. Characture building my husband says but I still noticed his moist eyes. You must be so very proud. Of course I will send a cheque in post or see you next week.
What days are you free? X Elaine

Thank you Elaine, I think I will need the support, I'm going to miss her like mad. I am worried about her travelling there on her own, she is not a very confident person but is getting better. I'm only free on Wednesday next week, is that ok for you?

I like that Elaine mothers outreach. what a major thing to do in your life, course would love to help Christine along the way a bit, chq in the post m'dear. But I do want to know exactly how you are feeling! Ellis is talking about camp America and I don't think she's nearly old enough she'll only be 18 in July!

Good luck with the move Julz.

Sarah, I am free on Wednesday so will be in contact. Will see if anyone else is free.
Donna, fear not, your daughter will flourish. One of mine worked camp America a few years ago. If she wants another voice with information let me know.
Official information - muscle turns to JELLY-
my first cycle at the weekend was a disaster.
Hope you all dont have the same problem. X Elaine

I've just had a look at the AFC site and they mention china on the homepage, but not up as event yet.

I AM SIGNING FOR EVENT NUMBER 1!!

And yes I'll do a time line for you Angie, I've got the disco going, so you know what I'll be like. I have 26 people who want to hand over the cash, 3 have already and others are getting parties together. Stress, stress. But it will work....

Great to hear things are more positive. Just takes time.

My spong wonder seat for all of you who are wondering is wonderful, a sense of freedom! I'll leave that to your imagination..

Donna

Hi Donn
Glad to hear about the saddle how far have you gone on it in one go. I have removed my gel seat last few times i have ben out and would you believe it it is more comfortable without it.

I am still seriously tempted about China even though i still not done any fund raising events for Jordan yet - aren't i terrible. I have just booked 6 bank shifts whilst i am on hols i Iain working so no plans to go anywhere so should bring in approx 500 pounds. Lot less stress i think!!!!!!!

Doctor referred me to Orthapeadic surgeon to have further look at knee and see what may need doing so now juct a waiting game to hear from him

Hope all you girls are well the site has been exceptionally quiet
Amanda

Hi Girls, Hope everyone doing ok. Sorry to hear about your knee probs Amanda. Hopefully it will all get sorted in plenty time for Jordan.

Sarah, Can you let me know if I sent you a donation for your daughter or not?????

I am such an air head and remember talking about it to you before I went to Kenya but my head was full off nonsense so please, let me know. If not please send your address and I will return of post send something.

I had a wee excperience in the masai mara with a 14foot python no more than 2 feet from me. I dont do snakes and it has put me of africa completely. Hubby going back in dec but I have declined so my son is going instead I am still shaking. Wimp I know.

We came across the most amazing wee orphanage about 2 miles from  our hotel. They had 45 wee kids from baby to 7. It was heartbreaking. We went into their wee school and they had no chairs and were sittingon grass mats which were more holes that mat. Some kids had uniforms and most had bits of cloth tied around them. Only 4 had shoes.

It broke my heart but Iain was worse.

He hired a mattata and went 45mins into Mombassa to a place that sold plastic chairs and he bought 60 of the things. He came back with them in the Mattata and you should have seen the wee kids faces. I am getting a lump in my throat just thinking abpout them. Many of them have aids and HIV and they were all so happy and smiley. Anyway we got a man to come the second week of our holidays and pipe in running water to a tap for their porrige and into toilet (if you could call it that). We did our wee bit but Iain has left his heart out there. He is going back in Dec and taking colour pics etc for their walls as they had none.

Makes me so very thankful of the life I have  and what we all have and I thak you all for your friendship.. there, got that of my chest . And  ....Its my burfday today 52!!!

Will catch you all soon . Take care and stay safe. Love Aly x

Hi Everyone,

Aly, a belated Happy Birthday for yesterday - hope you had a fab day.  What you and your family have done for the the children in Kenya is fantastic - thank you.  Its very heartbreaking to see some of the conditions those poor children have to survive in.

Amanda, hope knees ok.

Just seen the dates for China, am up for it, so will try to get on the first ride.  Looking forward to catching up with you all - as May seems so far away, why don't we try for a reunion at Donna's Disco?   Would be good to see you all.    No Donna hasn't put me up to this honest, just thought it would be a nice mee.

Love to you all.

Mavis
