It has to be Yorkshire Pudding for me: the best thing to come out of that wonderful county (apart from myself obviously)

Cataplana - and it has to be served in the copper dish: no excuses.
When the lid comes off and the aroma issues forth, well, I just get all misty-eyed...
Love it.

Guru Jules here...
Very hard question as there are so many favs, however my fav foods are samosas and lamb.
So a meal consisting of lamb samosas or veg ones, then followed by roast lamb with Roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, good choice Ben, and some veg. Baby sweetcorn, asparagus, aubergine etc, not forgetting the mint sauce, would be ideal, even if a bit of a strange mix.
mmmmmm samosas, roast lamb, veg...getting v.hungry now!!!

What are lardons? Is that a food or a typo?

Hmmm...has to be bittersweet dark chocolate with cocoa solids content of 70% or over. Preferably Green and Blacks....mmmmmm....
However, I also love spicy tuna maki rolls, big soft pretzels (from pret,
or even better, from a NYC street vendor), pretty much any flavour of
ice cream, tempura vegetables, my mom's homemade apple pie (she's from
a small town in America so you can imagine how good it is!) ,green Thai curry, fresh strawberries with creme fraiche, and Pace Picante sauce poured over just about anything.

I suppose it depends on the mood. I came in on Sunday lunch and asked Gill it she wanted something light, so I boiled a egg for 9 minutes, par-boiled some asparagus tips then finished them on the griddle whilst blend 2 whole eggs, 1 clove of garlic, 1 desertspoon of dijon mustard, salt, pepper and 125mls of sunflower oil with 25mls of olive oil to make a fresh mayonnaise. Halved the boiled egg, half on each side plate with 3 asparagus tips each and a generous dollop of fresh mayo on the asparagus - lovely!
Come later on, we wanted something savoury so, 8 coarse pork chipolatas, splashed and turned with olive oil onto a baking tray dusted with coarse groud black pepper and a pinch of salt and then sprinkled with sage, into the oven on Gas 5 for 35 minutes. Meanwhile, peeled and chop into small pieces two medium sized mashing potatoes, saxon in this case, and boiled the simmered for 10 minutes. Peeled and cross cut some fresh carrots and boiled then simmered for 6 minutes. Peeled a medium onion and grated half this onion into a dish and added a little more sage, once the potatoes are ready, I use a ricer to mash them into a bowl, add a large knob of butter, pinch of salt, 25mls of milk plus the grated onion/sage mix and run this lot through with a fork - vigorously. Served all with a sage gravy and hmmmmmm.
And then...
