Right I have booked 1 room so far... I don't have the funds to be able to book more so if anyone else wants to stay there then either send me the cash or cheque this week and I'll make the bookings or book a room for yourself and room mate through ebookers! I have sent an event invite for it through facebook as most people here are one there more often now. That way we can keep a tab on who will be going to that particular hotel. Either way we'll meet on one of the evenings for a meal, movie or show xx

have also signed up for Trek Jordan in march 2010 as was interested in the cycle ride but don't feel that could get the fundraising in time - also the trek is for a different charity (4 children's charities including barnados) so thought people at work may be more willing to sponsor me again !! will be 50 that year so thought I would make it a memorable one by doing two challenges (mad woman) !!

Hi Julz,
I can only do the night of the 18th May as it's my daughters birthday that day. Donna, are you up for staying that night or are you doing both?
I did just over 40 miles on my bike yesterday and was totally knackered just after 30. I couldn't keep up with my cycle buddy which is a tad embarrasing when he's 74. Doing 108km on Sunday which I'm now not looking forward to. Really hoping it will rain so I don't have to do it.
I do miss cycling with you all, especially the singing, for some reason nobody wants to sing Bohemian Rhapsody with me. I think they're all from the Perry Como era.

Hotel sounds good to me Julz, does anyone want me to check any others, dont think I could beat the price, let me know either on here or facebook.
At home with Flu, Yes proper flu, 6th day in doors and still feel like s**t, been to doctors nothing they can give me, just carry on with the paracetomols, any one know of a cure!!!!

Well done doing some mileage Sarah. Finally I've bitten the bullet and arranged with Deena and Mavis we're going out on Sunday morning! only 15ish miles but its a start. Oh and I got Queens greatest hits for Christmas so I'll try and learn all of the words!
Starting arranging the disco for march have started putting the word around, putting posters out soon and trying to arrange more raffle prizes. Wish me luck...
Lynne are you completely bonkers, certainly a novel way to celebrate your 50th birthday, I don't think I could bear that amount of fund raising in one year.

Sarah M .. thank you so much for the DVD .. it arrived this morning. I haven't had a chance to put one together myself yet but will get it done very soon especially yours and Donna's salsa.. hehe
Donna .. if you can only do the one night that would be great too. Sarah M says she can prob only do 18th too so as you will prob be sharing it'll work out fine.

Having a thought...... centreparks is doing a 4 night midweek deal at the mo. £199 for 3 bedded. Just checking web details and thinking Sherwood forest which has 9 March. Gives enough time to organise time off work etc. Could get the cobwebs off some of our bikes. Open to suggestions.....X Elaine ps waiting in anticipation for postman now. pps. Julz, I have 2 weeks off work next week and NO plans. Lets get together.

Sarah - thanks so much for the DVD! I have to admit to a bit of fast forwarding but it brought back happy memories - and you even had video of me crossing the finish line!! Amazing. If I'd khnown you were videoing my backside for that last stretch I might have done something a bit more interesting!!!
God, I am hating this cold weather! I long for the heat of that first day...why did we all moan!!
I live so close to London that I will not stay anywhere with you guys - but I am on for anything during the daytime! I will take a couple of days off work so that I can be around. Cant wait to see you all.

I'm gutted, me and Deena both live in Rugby. Royal mail where's mine? Can't wait to see it.
Julz when you manage to get around to yours could you please find someone to make my bod a little thiner please.. I'm begging you!
Don't think I would be able to make the centre parks one! gutted would love to... We have loads of expense at the moment. Weddings, hen nights (no Rob doesn't go on those) Birthdays etc..... Oh and organising my disco again...
Speaking of which posters are ready to be printed, just have to wait until mum gets home to print the tickets, have started on the raffle prizes. They are coming along nicely, have some pre orders on tickets already.
First foray out on the bikes is def this weekend, me, Deena and Mavis. Sarah let us know how you get on with yours.

Still of work with the Flu, not going back until Monday now. I feel better but not quite back to me (if that makes sense).
Sarah thank you so much for the video, I have watched most of it with a bit of FF, its great brings back really happy memories.
Elaine if there is enough of us I would be up for centre parks, need to know so I can book time of work, it would be great to meet up.

Hi
Just sat and watched the DVD. It made me quite emotional just seeing all you girls. Must say that there was an awful lot of my backside as well. Will have to get it a bit trimmer before China.
Would love to have gone on the centre parks weekend but money at bit tight at the moment, so will have to give it a miss.
Looking forward to my first bike ride this weekend with Donna and Mavis.

Mines here, just came home for lunch and here it is hooray. Won't be able to watch it tonight, fund raising planning! but will be having a look tomorrow with a nice relaxing cup of tea or two.
Has any one else thought of or planning anything yet, or am I the only saddo out there?
Sez how did the comparing function go? and I saw you on our regional bbc, the flu must be getting everyone. If you come on central again see if you can fit a disguised wave in or something!
I'm gonna try to stay both nights for may meeting, but still not sure.

Hi Girls
I am not going home till next week so hopefully i will have a nice parcel awaiting me - thanks Sarah in advance. Just getting to feel a little normal yesterday so hit the gym after work and did a gentle workout 3.5 miles on treadmill. Feel lot better for it and going to do another short session tonight. Hopefully may even get out on bike on sat if rain stays off.
I thought about a barn dance as a fund raiser well before christmas but felt it daft to try and do anything about it till now. When i have some time off i will start ringing the group i experienced at a wedding to see if they will do anything for me.
Deena one of our HCA's has started singing and she offered to do me a night aswell so need to pull finger out about that one also. I heard on the radio about a charity sing a longa mamma mia night that seemed popular so may see if she is game for that.
The london trip soulnds great got to sort out the getting there first then will think about the staying over bit.
