My daughters birthday yesterday so lots of cake, still haven't been out on my bike yet, but now the weathers a better i'm sure that it won't be long. my plan is to car boot on sat morning, and go out with my son on our bikes in the afternoon. speak to you all soon Donna www.justgiving.com/donnacadycuba    Report

Have mailed to see whats happening so lets hope it arrives soon so that I can start monster fundraising!! Monster fund raising, don't forget i ordered one of your puddings, I think you should put them on this site if you can make enough, my god the ideas are flowing already, how sad. I haven't got my info pack yet, but then I transfered so had to fill out the forms again for Cuba, and officially withdraw from the India one. Sure I'll get it soon. Got a call after having written to Halfords head Office, saying they would help me out with a few bits. They are servicing my bike, and giving me a helmet, gloves, drink bottle, and gel seat. Could have done with a new bike really but wont look a gift horse in the mouth.. lol! This is a good bunch we have together here already.. looking forward to meeting up at some point soon. Even if its for coffee instead of a bike ride. I cant do any cycling until I get my bike back now though unfortunately. Will be going out every day come September and the girls are back at school. No excuses at all then. We are definitely all on the first ride then, thats great. Smothered kids in sunscreen but not myself!! Wow that was great thAt you got Halfords to help you out, last year I tried loads of bike people to no avail so you are lucky. All feels very real now you have the info pack huh. What's your fundraising site shortcut? I got the go ahead from the Social Club I work at to hold 1 or 2 fundraisers there, whish is great as it means I don't have to pay to hire a venue. Going to do a quiz night, and a Cuban Themed Family Fun day. What sort of things are you doing? How's everyone today? Not up to much as no bike and 2 children at home. I'm planning at the moment, have decided to do most of my stuff in big events next yr. Doing a 60's 70's & 80's themed disco in April, the committee at the local railway club have let me have the room for nothing, so I'm hoping to raise the most of my money from that! I did a quiz night last yr, for st georges day got the quiz from a site called 'freequizes', if its any help. Also an easter egg raffle, writing begging letters at the moment, have had one postive reply, but Thorntons was a resounding NO. Oh well you can't win them all.
