Help I've just signed up for Cycle India 2007 having not rode a bike for about 25 years!
Is there anyone else out there signed up for this yet? Hows the training going for anyone else doing any other cycling event?
What hints and tips can anyone give in preparation.
Best Wishes

Hi Sarah, well thats 2 of us, wonder where the other 180 are!
Yes, I have been out just doing a few miles off road to get my confidence up, trying to build up a number of routes as I get more ambitious. I am also trying to get friends and family to give me their unwanted items to raise money through car boot sales. Think most of my campaign will get going after Christmas and the new year, as I think a lot of people think it's too far off yet to commit to sponsoring!
good luck
Hi
I've signed up too. Sent the form back as soon as I received the pack...didn't want to give myself time to talk myself out of it. Am really excited about it, though also very nervous about getting fit enough. Have managed a few short bike rides so far (with a good amount of huffing and puffing up the hills!), but am already worried that about getting out regularly during the winter!
Would love to know how many people have signed up so far. I do know that 300 women had pre registered for the details, so am guessing it won't take that long to fill the places. Am hoping someone else in the Peterborough area signs up....think I will need someone to bully me in to getting out on my bike when it's cold and miserable.
Good luck to everyone, am sure we'll be fine and have a great time.

I believe that we will be invited down to the Research Centre in feb/march time, which will be good. They also try to arrange a couple of training weekends....I understand that there will be 200 of us all together. Sarah
Welcome Lalybaba! That's 5 of us now.
I spoke to the organisers when the pack arrived, and they said that there were 100 places. This year 200 women are doing it...but that is across 2 dates. Guess they may increase the number if there is lots of interest. Think it also said somewhere that we will get a list of everyone that is taking part and where they are, which would be good.
Not that I'm panicking...but does anyone know how hilly it is Rajhastan?????
Happy peddling
No idea, just don't think about it!
I suppose we have a real advantage, in that those doing it this year will be great sources of information for us, on what its like and lots of advice etc.
