Hi to all - I really need to start shopping, having seen what you are all taking. Got my letter from W4W this weekend but no luggage or bike labels inside, so will have to call them up.
Met up with Trish and Pam in the New Forest yesterday (from my ride) and did about 17 miles of mud covered, rain drenched off road. We did enjoy it but you could have wrung our clothes out half way through the day and it was like cycling through superglue on some stretches! Good practice for the bumpy Rajasthan roads I guess.
Hope everyone gets their visas through quickly so you can relax and focus on the packing, travel, etc (oh, and not to mention that brief little jaunt on a bike when you get there)...To the Peaks crew - you have such determination that I am sure you will fly through, and I know you will have a great time doing it.
Just don't buy up all the goodies in the shops before the rest of us arrive!
Kris

Well done a test pack today! Weighing in at 47lbs!
Decided if i take the cleats out of my cycling shoes I should be able to wear them, anyone think differently? Taking a wfw t-shirt out and my take a slightly bigger bag to check in.
not looking good.

Well I have tried to pack this afternoon, now I am seriously panicking,!! I packed all my toiletries, snacks, medication, creams, powders, wipes, cycling gear, sleeping bag, towel, no idea on weight but my bag is full to busting and I haven't put any clothes in for other days pyjamas or underwear or shoes! How big a bag is everyone taking? I was using a 75 litre rucksack, thought it would be plenty big enough, Good job I didn't leave it til Thurs to pack!

You see....last week, you were all laughing at me, thinking, here she goes again, worrying about nothing!!!!!
My bag is 64cm x 38cm x 37cm approx - full to brim. Have bigger bag, but don't want to take that as it just looks huge!
I am not taking hairdyer, straightners - unheard of for me. But then this whole thing is so out of character for me - well the old me anyway! I will worry what I look like when I see the photos! Its all part of the fun.
Feeling quite upbeat about it all now. Especially now the snow has come to Nottingham. Can't wait for sunshine!
Talking to my Auntie on the phone today. She is at a Fellowship Graduation Dinner at Sheffield Hallam University with my Uncle and Lord Winston (and a few others obviously!) on Saturday evening! That'll be why he's not coming out with us at he start then!
BRING IT ON!!!!!

hey susanne,
i did exactly the same last year, in the end i gave up with the rucksack and went and bought a large soft sports holdal!!!
Fi did the same as well, unless you have a heavy duty rucksack its a nightmare trying to squash it all in.
Good luck you guys i know Donna & I will be thinking of you and reliving it all for you,
have fun
Angie

Hi, this is my first time on. I am on the 22nd November cycle India. My visa sill has not arrived but have been informed it will be taken to Classic Tours today and then brought to the airport on Thursday ! Leaving it fine to say the least ! I too sent mine at the beginning of October to CTS. Best of luck to us all and see you at the airport. Struggling to keep up the biking this week !

Hello people
As you have all probably heard- i am no longer on your trip!!!! BOOOHOOO!!!!
I keep thinking- i should be going to Inida in 4 days!!! and i'm not! Instead i am here in the freezing wet cold feeling sick and now suffering with a kidney infection!
I just want to say that i hope you all have the time of your lives and it was great sharing what time we did have with each other at the New Forest and the Cotswolds.
You will all be fabulous- and don't have any shame if you need to get in the van....
I can't wait to hear all your tales when you get back.
Keep in touch lovely ladies!
Heather
