Hi all,

Just realised that in my hurry, you are all 'up it' not 'up for it!' apologies, the reason for my pre-christmas posting is that given my problems on day 4 in Cuba I've been searching through the wonderful web and come up with this!!!!

check this site out!.No laughing please.

Dear All

I would love to join you for China 2010 but I would really like to give Lands End 2 John O'Groats a go. I'm not sure how my bits will cope. I'm going to be doing a 63mile cycle ride on the 11th January called the Watership Down, it sounds quite hard going, lots of very steep hills and I haven't done any training. Hopefully start riding in the next few days.

Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. Happy New Year

hi

When is the Lands End to John O'Groats ride taking place? Where can I get details?

Has anyone replied to go to the do at The House of Lords in May. Are you just going for the day or make a weekend of it?

If anyone has any ideas, let us know.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.

Deena

Hi all,

Suzi, yes I'm going to order the seat on Monday, just gonna contact them for further info.

Sam, with a new bike to train on you might just as well go for it, whats the point in a brand shiny bike you're gonna train on it so you might as well commit! I don't suppose lurking till you've decided will hurt too much though.

Deena, This is a fund raising idea for Naomi house isn't it Sarah? Of course I'm more than willing to sponsor you.....

House of Lords, gonna send mine off on Monday, Suzi is looking into accomodation and possibly a show.

And I finally got all of the postcards that I sent from Cuba on Boxing day. Cor a snail could have done it quicker, do you think they wait for the boxes to be really full before they empty them?

Who's thinking of doing the Randonee on the Isle of Wight? I have got to get off the sofa and back in the saddle its just so cold!

Right off for some more xmas cheer. I think there's still a couple of bottles left!

Hi Donna

I love the look of that saddle, it looks so comfortable, what a brilliant idea. Which one are you buying?

I am doing the LEJOG for Naomi House Children's Hospice, not sure how I'm going to do it, it's all very much in my head at the moment.

I've done the dvd's, just need to send them out to you now. I haven't done any editing so it can get a tad boring in places. It also jumps about in some place, not sure why. I'm a tad slow at getting round to things, but they should get to you sometime in 2009.

The 18th May is a Monday, so are we staying the Sunday or Monday night or just spending the day together on the monday?

A Happy New Year to all of you.

Room for one more!?
Cannot believe i am so enthusiastic about going through it all again (the fund raising & training that is) the actual ride was (with hindsight) great fun because of all the support from you all.
Would like to be involved with Hotels etc for May if that's OK too.

Happy New Years

Hi All

Personally I would like to stay Monday night definitely and possibly Tuesday or Sunday. I have looked at accommodation and there are some hotels which have quad rooms there is also a couple of YHA's. Public transport is so good in London that we can be on the outskirts of the city to make it cheaper. Chinatown could be a good choice if we are having a meal out.. lol

Those seats look odd but can imagine they would be soooo comfortable in comparison!

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas... and here's to a fab New Year ahead

Book through ebookers before the end of Jan and get Olympia Hilton Kensington for just £119.65, for 1 room for 2 nights, as its 50% off! Thats less than £60 each for the whole stay! Anyone else want to book that hotel? I will go ahead and book a room at least. Booking 1 room at a time and doing it through quidco.com you get 8% cashback towards our China target.. If we book mroe than that we have to phone up but then we may get it even cheaper if we group book! Would be nice to stay in a swanky hotel.

That is to stay Sunday and Monday 17th & 18th May!

Drinks [D] Happy New Years

Happy New Year to everyone. Resolutions have been made and broken already so nothing new there. I will get myself in gear soon. Had a fabulous New Year in Northern Ireland with Anji. Although the bikes didnt come out she did put me through my paces with very long walks which in turn made me feel as though I had earned the copious amounts of alcohol that followed. It did nothing to suppress the appetite though.
Julz well done with the searching for deals in May. I will be in touch with you for travelling up there etc. Sunday and Monday sounds good to me too. What do you suggest about a show. A matinee? cheaper? which day?
