It really is a popular place. Went into the YH there which was packed with cars but there was no one around. The YHA is ideally situated for the New Forest but is not on a rail network. If someone does want to come by train I will arrange for pick up at Brockenhurst. Have tried phoning the centre but staffing must be minimal over Easter. Will post again as soon as I find out if there are rooms still available. Would imagine it fills up quick. They also have three large tepees set up in the grounds. X Elaine    Report

I have held the ones available for the week but will need to get a good idea of how many as they would prefer to have the booking through one person for the group. My flexi friend will have to be bent. There are no same rooms available for two days, so change over inevitable. FRIDAY One 4 bed dorm £17. 95 +£3 if not a member 1 Tepee (for 6) £70. SATURDAY 1 x 8 bedded dorm 1 static tent x 4 £35. There is also a chance of own camping with tent but they can only take a max of 5 and that is £8.95 each There are outside loos and you are just beside the house so you can use the hostel facilities. I have held these combinations for a week and then I need to pay once we work out the best. Please let me know ASAP X E    Report

03-31-2008, 22:49 jane atkinson Joined on 02-28-2008 Posts 29 Re: NEW FOREST CYCLE WEEKEND May 31st- WFW CUBA'IST sorry to come in so late but is there any chance of me joining in with the new forest ride.  If every where booked up no worries so long as I know then and i can get a bnb somewhere close by.  On the 23rd may I have my big charity do with band so it would have been impossible to come on the date that I first read about.  Donna there is no way i can make bath now due to daughter being away with school and needing to be around when she gets back on the 12th.  When we were on the last ride together in March there was some talk about the creams used around our most precious areas I think it is to help with chaffing cuts etc.  Anyway to cut a long story short I have made some creams which are organically based; bees wax, almond oil, cocoa butter and added essential oils.  I was going to bring them all but of course cant make it.  If you or anyone else wish to sample some of them this weekend i will gladly send you some to your address with instructions, on the understanding i get a full honest reports back as i wish to make quite a bit of stuff for cuba.  if anyone feels the creams are of use then of course i will proce it all up and make indiviual ones for us all.  some of the essential oils may need to differ depending on peoples personal health curcumstances.  Still trying to find out about IOW.  training been very slack with children off and boy can i feel the difference.  feel despondent but it will lift.  hope all ok with everyone x    Report

The lotions and potions sound very intriguing. Are they your own recipes and are they designed to be used solely for the riding or pre riding? Can just imagine the scene as we stop to reapply. Gosh, the things we do for charity. On another note with potions, for those of you that have not been to Burley before it is very well known for witches. Its an enchanting place. Oh and the tepee is looking like the Friday night option. Should be a giggle. Indoors on the Saturday though unless the stars are favourable. x E    Report
