Amanda, blimey, you have to send it. It is a sad state of affairs that you have had to suffer from his incompetence. Think of all the other people under his care. It needs highlighting. X E

By the way just to make you all really wish that you could have made this weekend if you didn't come! It was fab. Von & Paul are the hosts with the most. Don't everyone who attended expect this from me! I couldn't possibly match it.
Looks as though there's not enough of us for the August break, but what about last weekend in september? Come on, now girls you need to start meeting us those that are lurking and those that aren't it would be fab to see people for Stratford. Don't forget everyone is VERY welcome
Donna

Believe or not the last weekend in Sept would also suit me Donna. Something to aim for.
Feeling the bubble of something in the pit of my stomach but I think it might be excitement and not panic as I start to get a grip with control over my life. Thinking of having a cycle today, blooming Nora. Could my plan be put into action. Post later if it does.

Hi Girls
Donna, Elaine, Linds and Von thanks for giving me and Vicky a wonderful weekend, it obviously did the trick I have arranged to pick up my new bike the weekend, (cant wait) is that me speaking no it must be an illusion. Elaine did you go out, I hope so the sun's shining you peddling ahhh I have a great picture in my head, unfortunately I'm chained to my desk stuffing a chicken sandwich in me gob.
I have to say Von and Paul were just the best hosts, they made us so welcome love to you both XXX

Is this weather not just fantastic. I actually have a wee tan which is unusual for me. Anyway how jealous am I of all of you that were able to get to Von's for the weekend. It would have been just fantastic and I wish I could have gone but just wee bit tof ar and working loads. Anyway, wee bit info for you all. Wee Izabell has officially signed up with her friend Joyce for China on the same trip we are all on and she is so excited. I am haveing a dance on 31st July so she is coming through to Fort William so I am looking forward to this.
I wish all of you all the very best and keep chatting away as it is great to see how you are all doing. Lots of Love

Woo hoo, I have finally managed to reply to you all!! I have had to re-register using a different email address etc as although I have been able to read your messages, for some reason I have not been able to reply. I've been feeling like i'm in a wilderness!
I'm sooo pleased that so many of the Cuba girls have managed to sign up for the same China ride, it will be awesome - again.
Amanda, I have been following your account of The Knee, and think you definitely should make a complaint against the physio. Nobody is perfect, but it is obvious that he was'nt listening to you.
Von and Paul, I know you probably won't read this, but hey, you really did us proud over the weekend. I have been telling everyone how wonderful it was. I hope nobody expects that level of hospitality when its my turn, not so much ensuite accommodation, more a sleeping bag and a sofa - if you're lucky!!
Elaine, I hope you did go out on your bike, but somehow I get the feeling that the weather put paid to that. Don't forget, I'm only down the road if you want some company.
Suz, I cannot believe you are actually excited about getting a new bike - I never thought I'd see the day! You'll be going out on it next lol. Thanks for inviting Vicky to join us in China - what a lovely girl, you should be proud and hopefully some of her enthusiasm will rub off on you.
Finally, I have had some positive feedback from a local restaurant about holding a Chinese evening. I'm feeling more positive about the fundraising now, and am gonna roll with it now.
Love you all
Linds x

Well tis lovely to see you back Linds. Think theres only me and thee with nothing better to do tonight though.
Do you know what, I have only been and gone out on bike twice this week. What a start. Was hoping for more but I am not into putting myself through a soaking. I did have your voice in my head with that little bit of information about muscle memory....
I also went looking at bikes again and the shop is putting a couple together for me to try out. Still unsure of my needs other than I want to get away from the heavy mountain.
I need to put some action plan into place about fundraising too.
Will be in touch about cycling together soon.
X Elaine

Well - I am impressed!! Glad you're back on your bike. It will be very exciting to have a new bike, there's nothing like it to make you want to get out there. Regret to say, I hav'nt been as good as you, but I did cycle to spinning class and back last night, so there's a start. It seems as tho every time I can a chance to go out, the rain comes down, and whilst I don't mind too much when i'm already out, starting out in the rain just does'nt do it for me1
I'm feeling a bit chuffed with myself as the restaurant night seems to be working out (date to be confirmed) for October, and I've also got some dates to organise a few car boot sales, at £5 per car that should be a good earner.

Blimey, I've just tried to get on a few minutes ago and it went weird......
But anyway, Well done Elaine. Like Linds everytime i want to go it pours with rain, so have been down the gym instead.
Good news about the restaurant night.... Deena and I are tin rattling outside a local garden center on Saturday. That should boost the coffers a bit!
Amanda, hows things with the knee. Did you send the letter off in the end?
How is everyone else doing its been a bit quiet on here for a while....

Hi
Can anyone remember the name of that tree which we saw in Cuba with large pods hanging from it in bunches. I have looked on the internet but cannot find it. If anyone can help I will be most grateful.
Feel very guilty as I have not been on my bike for ages. Opting for the gym instead. Mind you will not have an excuse if the sun shines.
Hope it is dry on Saturday for our tin rattling and people are generous.
Hows the knee Amanda, are you getting out on your bike?
Deena

Hi Donna
Knee not too bad but far from perfect. Have done a draft of the letter but it is quite lengthy as i want to make sure i put everything in it and get my point across in the best way i can. I am panicking though as went out on bike today after a few weeks break again as personal committments have stopped me - holiday and daughter being down. Managed 21 miles but found it difficult hard to think i have to achieved in 10 weeks what took me 10 months to get fit for Cuba and unable to do all the workouts i did in the past. Oh well only can do what i can!!!

Hi Tino and welcome,
I have only done one event before (Cuba) some of the girls have done more.
I raised over £1000 by selling space on my t.shirt, £10 per name, people were great and most people gave me more than the £10, I sent a letter out to family, friends and work colleagues and the money rolled in - so a good place to start.
Then the usual quiz nights, disco's and car boot sales I am sure the other girls will give you some great tips, Donna Cady is one of the best fund raisers, in fact I think she could do it for a living.
Good luck

Hi there,
Another newbie!
Thought I had better get organised and in touch. I have signed up for china. Dragged kicking and screaming by para aly. Well not really we decided that the lure of the noodle house did it for us. I didn't need to be persuaded too much.
Look forward to getting to know you all
