Good morning everyone,
just a quick post to say a big thanks you to Sally for organising such a fab weekend in Rutland. The scenery was amazing - on day two that is. What a lovely experience to meet up with such nice positive, like minded, excited folk. I have to say I amazed myself on day two, I even managed a couple of small -very small inclines and to stand up in the saddle! This morning I feel invigorated enough to want to go out today as well....slowly does it.
We were very fortunate to have Suzanne with us who is not only a India finalist she was our mechanic and coach. Don't forget to come with us to the Peak district Suzanne.
Sally you are just an inspiration! I look forward to finishing off that conversation with you soon.
Thanks to Nickg we have organised our ball and I will ipdate you all on that soon.
Good luck everyone.

Hi girls
I am glad to hear you all had a good weekend despite the weather on Saturday. I did think about you all as I sat in the conservatory listening to the rain hammer down! I am under Drs orders not to go on my bike but hopefully they will decide what is making me so ill and how to treat me soon! It would have been lovely to see you all.It sounds like you had loads of fun. I am jealous! I will be there for the next one!

sally,
glad to hear the weekend went well despite the weather! sounds like we missed a great weekend. i understand that you are thinking of arranging another - please dont choose 4th October - we have arranged a bag packing event that day!! the best date for me would be the weekend before that. i guess it depends on everyone else too but i can only try!!

Hi all, I'd be really keen to do another training weekend too but my official training weekend in The Cotswolds is 11/12 October. Is anyone else doing that one? Seems odd that I'm doing a later Cuba date (13-22 March) but an earlier training weekend than you guys who are doing the earlier March date but a training weekend at the end of October...
Confused!

Hi,
I know it's a bit late but i've just registered for the training weekend in the Cotswold 25/26 October. Bit scared now as i don't think i've done anywhere enough training!
Anyway, is anybody still looking for a room mate or would like to share a room. Also has anybody got any recommendations for B&B's?
Looking forward to seeing you all in October!

Hi Denise,
I know the feeling - if we were doing it now I think I would be okay but I will have had a month off by then - guess who is going to be at the back! It will be nice to have some company bringing up the rear, so don't worry about it. When we were at Rutland the other week I think we all discovered that everyone has a different challenge and whilst it would be nice to think I can complete both days, I will be prepared to accept less than that.
There are lots of nice B and B in the area - Claire and I are at Winton House and when we talked about it at Rutland the idea was moted that on Saturday night it would nice if we all got together for dinner.
I think I am going to get withdrawl symptoms whilst I am away and can't read all the posts.
Keep peddling
Sally

Hi Sally,
I did have a lovely weekend thanks - we went to Blakeny on the East Coast, not much to do in the village itself, except eat -a couple of lovely restaurants/pubs there!! but we did get in the car and visit a few of the resorts. Plus we took our dog and he got loads of exercise!!
Our training has definately slowed down in the last couple of months since we did the 50 miler round Norwich - life seems to be getting in the way!
I cant make the weekend of the 11th - 12th October as we have a 60th birthday party to go to - so it looks like it will have to be at the official training weekend when we meet up again - hope you still all recognise us!!
Speak soon

P.s I did manage to pass my 2nd year Accounts exams - amazing really seeing as i have spent so much time this year training and fundraising!!

Hi Ellen,
That would be great! Are you planning on staying for one or two night? I will probably have to go up on the Friday evening as there is no train to Stratford early enough from London to make it in time on the Saturday morning.
Let me know what you would like to do.

Hi all, can anyone help? We need 100 WFW balloons for our ball in two weeks time. AFC have no more available in the short term and we really need them. Does anyone have any that are lurking around from an event that they never used? Even if you have only a few I would really really appreciate that if you didn't need them, please could you send them to me ( I will pay the postage.)
If any of you are in the Norfolk area and want to train then please just let me know, I think there are a couple of 50 mile events coming up soon - so it would be good to train with someone.
With regard to the October training - I can do 11th and 12th , or at a push the 4th and 5th.
All plans for the ball are confirmed and amazingly we only have 3 tables to sell. It is all fingers crossed now!

Thanks Clare, every little helps.
I still have not booked my accommodation yet! must do that pronto. You will enjoy Sally's company she is lovely.
I am hoping that once this flipping ball is out of the way I can concentrate on training. I am also finally taking up spinning when the kids go back to school.
I will let you all know how it goes, and how we did it
