Hi Girls

Firstly may i say welcome to Cath - Where are you??

Now for a little update hope i not boring you all.

Back in Plymouth and what a difference!!!!

Last fri sat and sun did about 10 miles each day on exercise bike - Sunday was hard as my legs ached terribly as went to wedding saturday night and was dancing all night jiving the lot my poor leg muscles didn't know what hit them. Monday out for 2 hours on bike had to be helped off though as muscles in bum very painful. Gentle ride tues with Iain through Thetford forest - can highly recommend it for those who want a bit of off road experience and terrain rough and in parts sand. Weds out again did 20 miles added a couple of hills.. Back in plymouth did a easyish ride sunday (in rain)approx 12 miles and done a tougher 19.5 today with all my lovely hills again!!!

I have got a long way to go to get the fitness back to how i was in Cuba, actually i doubt if i will get as good in time for Jordan but i am being sensible and at least i am doing something.

Leg is not perfect by a long way and some nights it can give me grief and i hate not being able to straighten it but hopefully it will get there. MRI on weds.

Going to try and take advantage of good weather and fact still on sick this week and hiopefully get out every day.

Amanda

hello everybody is everyone as hot as I am I dont mind the heat but this is a bit unbearable.

well I am from sunny northampton

blimey amanda I thought I did well on sunday I managed to my first 30 miles in one day alright it took about 4 hours if I did it non stop but I went with a group that meets in kings lynn. I felt a bit odd because they obviously do it every week about 30 miles. But they were really friendly they had to keep on stopping at the top of the hills and waiting for me and letting me peddle really fast downhill so that they would catch me back up going up the hill who said norfolk was flat hahaha.

Well done Cath. Speed is not always the best thing to consider it is what yu are doing and keeping going. A steady pace will not tire you out and it is amazing how far you can manage. Iwent out again yesterday and monday but not managed today as MRI was at an awkward time of day to go before and there was a delay so i was there for 3 hours nearly rather than about 45 mins in a minute i have to go see my gorgeous neice as it is her 7th birthday today and give her a presssy. Might try and get out for an hour late.

Huh? [:^)] Vons weekend

Oh dear, I really need to start loving my bike.
Weekend at Vons. Girls that are coming could you bring your cossies as well. (I doubt I fit in mine any more) There is an optional health spa stop but apparantly Von has devised a route to it by bike. I did cautiously ask whether there was a cake stop included but she muttered something about having to work for it. I can feel a mutiny coming over me.
Sues, hiring a bike not a problem but would cost a bit and also she wants us to get up and go from her house. Sounds like she has a whip.
Lyndsey, best to use your mountain bike and not to have your skinny wheel road bike, a bit of rough involved.....

Would anyone else like to join us and help me with my mutiny.
Still not been on bike - SHE says I have to go on it tonight. Good job I am the older sister.
X Elaine

Hi Elaine

Sorry I cannot join you in your mutiny, but if you get to the cake shop have one on me.

Going to try to do a car boot tomorrow to raise some money for China. Had to abandon the last two, perhaps third time lucky. Mind you its pouring at present lets hope the sun returns.

Have a great weekend.

I'm with you Elaine for the mutiny, how about forget bikes get on the vodka followed by cream cakes, only joking!!!!

Sorry Elaine your acting as the secretary again, would Von have a number of the bike hire company that I can contact, or can you give me the area and I will google a company, if I dont hire bikes we wont be able to ride no great loss I'll meet you all at the spa!

I still have no idea where I'm going, would anyone ie Elaine 'Vons Secretary'send me a message on facebook or email me, I will go on facebook now and send you all my details.

Dont worry Elaine we shall go down with all flags flying.

Luv Sue xxxx

Oh girls,

What a week! Well done on the 30 miles Cathy. Are you up for the bank holiday weekend of cycling. I've put you down already (hoping)

Keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed for you Amanda, don't you go doing too much too soon.

I can't even think of mutiny, anyway I'll look exactly the same as the last time you saw me because I put on a shed load of weight and am now only down to what I was before... how gross is that!

Cossie now that sounds like a plan half way round.... Let me know where I'm going as well please Elaine. Really can't wait to see you all.

Good luck this week with the booting Deena.

Donna
xx

Hi Girls

Saw consultant yesterday and he asked me if i have hada sudden sharp pain at any stage and i reminded him of my terrible experience with the physio. MRI shows that one of my tendons has been snapped and my ligament on the ouside of my knee has damage done to it. Oh what a surprise!!!! My fears have been confirmed plus the added bit about the tendon. Thankfully it is not an important one as such and it would be a big thing to go through to try and re attach it so it seems i have to live with what i now have got. Doubt it very much if i will ever be able to run again on the treadmill but at least my cycling is ok and pain improved but i just have limitation to what i am able to do without discomfort e.g i am unable to cock leg over bath side to get in shower without discomfort.

I have written a letter of complaint about the physio i just need the balls to send it
