Hi

I have signed up to do the Maasai Trek for the Brain and Spine Foundation, i have never done anything like this before, so it is going to be a challenge.

I am doing this in memory of my dad and to help others who have suffered.

I have already started training, and the Brain and Spine foundation are organising a training weekend.

When are you doing your trek? Which company is organising it?

I'm doing mine in Feb 07 and it's being run by Charity Challenge. I'm a PE teacher and have been outside in the heat the last few days and it's finally hit me just how hot it's going to be out there in the height of their summer time!!! it will prob be a good 10 degrees hotter than its been here over the last few days!

i've not really started any training at the moment but am planning on doing a lot od walking in the summer holidays to get used to my boots and clothing in the heat!

I'm doing my trek for BLISS the premature baby charity. My brother was born 9 weeks early and 23 years ago it was really touch and go whether he'd survive!!! My mum wrote a diary at the time and reading it back really made me want to help families to not have to live in hope and fear like my parents did!

I hope everything goes well for you
