Lots of my online friends have listed some charity auctions to help me raise funds for my 25 mile walk in the Yorkshire Dales this Saturday in aid of the NSPCC. I registered a domain name to make it easier for my friends to pass the link round to the auctions, www.YDCauctions.co.uk They will make payments at my JustGiving page at www.JustGiving.com/FCarr to boost my sponsorship. It's a very simple idea and quite easy to get going so does'nt eat into your other fund raising or training time. People from both sides of the Atlantic have listed auctions to help me, it's amazing how people are so keen to help. There are over 200 auctions listed and I'm hoping that the final amount raised for my sponsorship will be over £400. I'm very pleased as this is my first challenge walk and my first attempt at getting sponsorship. I passed my £250 target within three weeks and have more than doubled it already, and that's not counting whatever the charity auctions make for me! Give it a go folks, it's fun!
