FUND RAISING THROUGH MUSIC.
The Liverpool Street Music Company is a newly formed organisation which is the Admin. side of me, a concert pianist and musician. It is essentially a production company reponsible for creating and marketing CD's, promoting concerts and Events administration.
The Company Chairman is my bear "Liverpool Street" who does precisely what his job description says, - he sits on a chair(!)and he is my greatest supporter, having to listen to all my practising. (You can find his portrait on my Justgiving page at http://www.justgiving.com/the-liverpoolstreet-music-company-giving ). Our first public fundraising concert is in September in little Hadham. Hertforshire.
Part of the core company ethos is that 25% of all earnings/profits are directed towards Charity. At present I support two: 'The Tall Ships Youth Trust' and 'Railway Chidren'. This is something I could not conceive of doing without the help of Justgiving.
It would be great to hear from other musicians and performers who are involved in raising money for charity through their endeavours and share our achievements, our frustrations (sometimes), and failures (hopefully never!).
