Is anyone else having problems with the JustGiving website?
I created my sponsorship pages 8 days ago. My page has been inaccessible to would-be sponsors for virtually the whole time (every single day, apart from one evening) due to so called 'essential monthly maintenance'. The feedback I'm getting from friends & sponsors is that if they do finally manage to access the page, actually making a donation is virtually impossible as they seem to end up in a loop. Loads of people have given up now. I keep emailing the 'help' email address but I haven't had any response.
I'm really losing my patience with the whole thing. Is anyone else experiencing similar?
Thanks
Ruth

Hi Ruth
Our page has been running for longer but due to the changeover to the new format we can't access anything to change it at the moment which is very frustrating given that the challenge started yesterday and it would have been great to be able to update. We've had a couple of donations in the past couple of days so I think it is working at some points, but not all the time and not reliably. I'm hoping that tomorrow, when they've got staff in, things will sort themselves out but suspect they're going to be swamped with complaints. We've put a message on the blog asking people to bear with us and try again in a few days, but it's frustrating to think you might lose sponsorship just because of technical probs. If it's people you see at all then they could give you cash, that way your charity gets all of the money. Otherwise, you can only ask them to keep trying. Hope it's sorted very quickly though.

Oh, and some people had problems donating because they didn't use Internet Explorer, could that have been an issue for the ones having problems before the past couple of days.

Hi Ruth
Yes, I'm having similar problems. I am unable to log in to edit my pages and the links on my BLOG no longer connect correctly. I hope they sort it out soon. Updating the site is good, but not if those trying to get donations for charity are unable to do so.

I worked my socks off to raise £2000 for St Wilfrid's Hospice in Chichester by doing the Moonlight walk on Friday night. I'd emailed my contacts 3 times, and raised about £1500 and wanted to send non-donors a video cajoling them to pay up. I spent much of Sunday trying to sort this out, but as the website has been down I've been unable to see who has paid! And some people who I know well have taken the trouble to call me up to tell me they have been unable to make donations. I'm really upset - I travelled over from the Isle of Man to do this walk. I shall be too old to do it again next year, and I feel really short-changed and upset. I'm leaving the country tomorrow and will not be able to follow the emails up so I shall give the estimated £500 shortfall out of my own pocket rather than see the Hospice suffer. I suppose it would be too much to hope for some matched funding from the JustGiving company!!

Hello All,
This upgrade has been a grade A cock-up:I dread to think that more than a couple of potential sponsors will have tried and failed to donate to my LEJOG bike ride.
Unfortunately they probably will try just the once and move on to whatever else they are doing.
Any online facility HAS TO WORK!
Thanks a bundle JFG-well worth 5%.
Simon.

Because you're using internet explorer? Why is that an excuse? Did you inform all the fund raisers & charities that you were selective about the software they used?

Simon, I couldn't agree more. I, too, am planning a LEJoG bike ride this summer and launched my fundraising effort this weekend. Big mistake. JustGiving fell over literally minutes after I'd invited several hundred friends, colleagues and acquaintances to sponsor me. This is terrible PR for JustGiving (and, by proxy, for me) and is completely unacceptable.
