Loosing weight and getting fit to walk the Great Wall of China
Reply Quote
I signed up to this challenge in order to give me a goal worth sticking to. I joined WWatchers in Jan weighing nearly 17 stone. I then signed up to the challenge. Everyone thought I was mad but 12 weeks on I weigh 14 stone 6 and im getting fitter by the day. This is such a big thing for me. I couldnt even tie my shoe laces but now im spending hours walking and swimming. Its all so exciting and my daugter is keeping me on track. Learning to fund raise too. Im loving 2009. would advise this to all people who have loads of weight to loose. its made it all seem worth while and when I feel like cheating the picture of me walking that wall stops me. Anyone else like me?

Well done on your weight loss so far Mandy.  I'm on the diet track at the moment as well, I joined Slimming World 4 weeks ago and have lost 12lbs so far with about another 5-6 stone to go!  My main motivation was that I didn't want to be fat and forty and I'm 40 in January.

I've signed up for a 5k fun run in October and am hoping to be a good few stones lighter by then and a lot fitter.  I've also always wanted to do a parachute jump but my weight has stopped me so that's my goal for next year.
