OYTS Iceland Challenge! Youth Sail across North Atlantic!

Hi everyone!
Im Dean Zielinski, 17 years of age from the West Coast of Scotland!
I will be taking part in a thrilling and energy draining sail across the North Atlantic where we will head for Iceland and possibly the Arctic Circle!
We will sail the 72ft Ex Challenger racing yacht, Alba Explorer.
This is part of a Young Leaders Development Programme run by the organisation Ocean Youth Trust Scotland.
OYTS provide opportunities for young adults across Scotland of all backgrounds and physical ability!
These trips can give you great ambition and inspiration, and open up doors to a more fullfilling future!
Skills gained range from sailing an actual yacht, to basic life skills such as cooking and cleaning, respect and working as a team.
I am sailing with 11 other youths under the age of 18, all of us being inexperienced sailors!
We will be joined by four volunteer and two professional OYTS Staff.
What i will gain from this trip is the chance to become an Ocean Youth Trust Scotland Watchleader, in turn, helping hundreds of other kids with nothing to do, faulty backgrounds or slight disadvantages experience a life of opportunity.
To top it all off! I have a pretty big fear of water haha
