Hi All

God how I am missing my girlfriends, just like you Janey feel really odd.

To all the girls who are going in March, what can I say brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.  Make sure you practice those hills, the more practice you put in and the fitter you are the more you will enjoy it, the comradeship is wonderful and everyone supports each other.  I would not have missed this for the world, live changing experience.

Miss you all luv Sue xxx

hi girls.

well what an experience - something i'll never forget and with all the fuss i've had since i've been home - i'm actually thinking mmmmmmmmmmmm to china.

I arrived home to a party with all my family and friends......all the way home i was saying oh can't wait to cuddle the kids, sit with a glass of wine and relax and then pulled into my drive to balloons banners presents flowers food drink it was fantastic. Ethan kept it a secret the whole 3 hours home.

I had a fab time - i was very home sick sometimes but it made me appreciate what i have at home.

I met some amazing people along the way. I cried (lots), laughed, got excited, got mad probably all in one day, ever day and i thank all you forum girls for your support.

Donna, sarah m, sam, sarah d, janey, mavis, amanda, deena, elaine, von, suzi, lyns, juls, dor, (val and donna if your reading) and last but not least roomy nicky. You all made it for me - in your own differnet ways. Thank you

Maybe maybe maybe you'll see me in china.

lol to you all S x

Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone got home OK. I had THE best bath in the world when I got home!! Ah, running water that you can clean your teeth with, although I was a bit disorientated the first time I had to use the loo looking for the tissue bin!!

It still feels like a dream when I think back to what we have achieved. I am immensely proud to have known all of you and of all our accomplishments. I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone for the support shown not just to me but it has been so heart-warming to see it being given so freely around to everyone - I wouldn't have got up "that" hill if I didn't hear everyone screaming at me!!

Everyone should have a new participant's list posted out to them today along with their certificate so please keep in touch!!

Sam. xx

Well, here I am watcvhing in the night garden...having been in London all day, then waited in the freezing cold for John to pick me up from the station....yep reality has hit and I wanna go back! I miss you all..and am finding real life a little difficult to get used to again!
Thankyou everyone for making it so amazing....I watched yesterdays This Morning about 20 times pointing you all out to the kids/the nanny - anyone who;'d watch. Once the kids are in bed I'll grab a glass of wine and watch todays....

The kodak website for photo sharing is in the letter from Gay....and I've seen lots on facebook already.

So....when is the next little challenge?? Haven't mentioned China around here yet...but the Solent Coast should go down OK!!

lots and lots of love to everyone

Hi Girls,

Back in Cornwall and couldn't wait any longer to get back on my bike!
What a fantastic experience for us all. Some times very emotional and many times extremely funny. Thought Ali with her tartan towel was the star of the show at our celebration dinner. Here's to those Cuban Hills and Undulations. Have already committed to the first event in Jordan next October and would like to make contact with the person sat opposite me at the dinner who told me she was also going to Jordan. Would you call me please? 01579 384933
I know Amanda from Plymouth is going.
Also,  a message to the person with the helmet cam I spoke with. Sorry, I don't know your name, I meant to get all the details from you, please get in touch. Many thanks.

Here's 'till the next time we meet.
How amazing, the power of women.
Gail

Hi all ..

Don't know about anyone else but I still feel so tired! But then I have come out with a nasty cold & cough! Just glad it didn't come out while we were there.

Gail.. the head cam girl is Donna Barry .. you will find her contact details on the list we were sent with our certificate, she hasn't posted on here before but is on Facebook.  Good on you for getting out on your bike, mine is still in the shed with no saddle or pedals as feel too yuk! Good luck with Jordan wish I could do another so soon but no way I would get the funds together.

Definitely going to sign up to China though... never thought I would do another afetr struggling with fundraising so much, but the ride itself and the friends made doing it far outshines the struggle! I managed with those hills way better than I thought I would and am happy to say I only stopped twice in all 5 days rideing other than the compulsory stops of course! So I'm obviously fitter than I gave myself credit for.

You all did amazingly... and it was such fun meeting the ones I didn't already know .. thank you all for all your support leading up to it, without which I probably wouldnt have gone

Well Team 2 will be on there 4th day of cycling today .. be great to hear how they all got on too .. how cool was that seeing them arrive as we left

Is anyone else suffering the numb fingers (little digit and the one next to it) caused by pressure with the handlebars. I thought the feeling would have come back by now.

HI Julz, fantastic to see you all back having enjoed this most amazing experience. We mailed each other way back when I fist signed up for this ride, and you were concerned about your fitness levels. YOu obviously managed really well. I am wondering how much of your original goal did you reach?I am so excited about going and am still worried about the fitness aspect of it. Can you tell me, in your opinion, how fit do you really need to be???? Many thanks in anticipation. Lorraine X

Hi Lorraine .. which event are you doing again? It is hard to say how fit you should be, as I was unable to do a great deal of training leading up to going to Cuba but somehow managed to complete the ride without getting on the support bus or stopping for any length of time other than the required stops... I think once you are there it is grit and determination and the support of all the other riders and suporters around that gets us through these things. What level do you feel you are at now? All we can say is just do as much as you personally can... feel free to email me on dreams.r.free@hotmail.co.uk

Hi Girls

Glad to hear you all enjoyed yourself as much as me and all having similar experience of being home. As much as i wanted to be home i really miss the fun we was having last week. Went out on my bike yesterday god it felt lovely on a bike that fitted after fiddling and getting saddle in correct position.

At work today and chatting constantly about our adventure they are going to get so sick of me!!! Not had chance to watch any of the programmes yet but good old mum has taped them so when off on Friday i will watch all of them.

Amanda

Hey Aly .. you did fab and it would be a shame if you didn't come again... so China it is for us all then! We had an awesome time in Cuba and we didn't 'really' know each other like we do now.. so imagine the fun we'll have next time! Just make sure you label your pots clearly next time.. .lol
As for facebook you should just be able to log in with your email address and go through your friends list to see our pics. Have you not put any on the kodak gallery yet? That is a great way to share ALL our photos. I put all 300 of mine on there.. haha. Details were on the letter which came with our certificate in case you over looked it.

Going to watch Janet & Collette on This Morning soon... has been good watching this week. ITV website seems to be playing up today... you can watch the footage on there too. Seems so far away already. Look forward to the DVD.

My finger tips are still numb... but getting better each day... just have to shift this dam cough & cold now and get back out on the bike before I cease up for the winter.

Until we can set up a China 2010 thread we can still chat on here or facebook...
