Just wanted to say good luck to you all that are off to Cuba over the next couple of weeks.....
I am so envious ....I can't believe its nearly a year since we were feeling the same nerves and excitement on our way to India.
You will have a ball....the forum will be quiet while you are away!!
Looking forward to all your posts when you get back!

Hi to everyone going to Cuba 1 and 2
I hope everyone has a good journey today, tomorrow and yesterday (Aly) to the airport. Just packing last minute things, but not getting on very fast as the phone keeps ringing or someone calls at the door to wish us all well!
Thanks to everyone for all their support, on line or at the practice rides. You have been great!
See you tomorrow.
Doreen

Hi Girlies,
Just spent the morning running around Tesco's worrying whether I had everything I needed (that's 2 days in a row now that I'e done that, I may be banned!!). Phew, we're nearly there!! I've thrown everything together to pack neatly later and sat there with the feeling that I'd forgotton something ... needless to say, I've just spent the last half hour battling with my bike trying to get the saddle off - can you beleive I nearly forgot it!!
Watched Fern this morning - she looked as nervous as I felt, bless her!!
Good luck to all event 2 girls - will we cross paths at the airport ?? :o) And a HUGE thank you to everyone who I've met, cycled with, texted and forum-ed with - the support and good nature of everyone has made it so worthwhile.
See you in a few hours!!
Sam xx

If anyone is out there see you in a few hours. I will be the one sleep in the corner as awwake again at 4 bloody knotting again shame i haven't quite finished the wrap i could have brought it with me.
I am feeling sicker and sicker.
Good luck from me too to all the 2nd ride girls .
If you are there Donna cake is sliced and bringing napkins just hope not everyone wants a piece or else we will be breaking into smaller pieces had to make 2 small ones to be able to put in tins that i could dispose of at airport and cut into a total of 16 good size pieces. Mum thinks i am mad making more work for myself but hopefully it will be worth it and you will all enjoy!!!
Saw fern this morning and was pleased to hear she is nervous too
Amanda

Hi Sue - I took my seat post last year and it wouldn't fit the bike, so I am just taking the saddle. Hope this helps - Love Debbie

I'm the same, just sitting aroound waiting to go. I'm leaving in just over half an hour to pick up Sam from New Milton station. Thank you everyone for your good wishes on jg and fb.
Good Luck to all of you on the 2nd Cuba ride. I'm dreading this finishing as I've loved every minute of it, except the fundraising of course. I have made some fantastic friends and will hopefully make a lot more whilst in cuba.
See you all soon. Sorry Amanda, I may opt for a bacon butty, not sure I can cope with cake at 5am.
For the last time before going.

Yay... I am home with my girls and enjoying being back. Missed them so much.
Thank you to Elaine's hubby for dropping me off... so kind.
Well the ride was in some ways tougher than expected, and in some ways easier! Easier in the fact that I did it ALL... which completely surprised me to be honest.
Huge well done for you ALL for being there and doing what you did... what a fab experience all round
Love n hugs

Mission complete and cant get grounded. Back home safe and sound though. Fantastic event that I will remember for ever. A wonderful experience for anyone going out in future events.
We clapped the second group into Cuba from behind a glass divide, as they arrived into Cuba and we awaited for departure. They will also have a fanastic time I am sure and I wish them all a safe trip on their bikes. (wonder who will get my trusty bike who saw me through the ups and downs safely....oh missing it all ready)
Donna,Sarah, have a lovely break out there. Expect to be updated especially with the dolphins.
Mavis, it was lovely to see Keith and Marcelle as they arrived too. Have a fab time togeher.
X Elaine
