02-14-2009, 11:30 ChrisPM Joined on 02-18-2007 London Posts 4 170K Challenge for Sands Hi All, During 2009 I am running 170K to raise money for Sands who provided my wife & I support following the sad death of our daughter Naima, who had a near miss cot-death experience at 6 hours and struggled to survive for the next 2 weeks, when we had to decide to take her off life-support (the most difficult decision of our lifes). I am set up a facebook group ("170 Challenge") which anyone can join to monitor my adventures through the year and for people to post supportive messages, etc. I am using JustGiving to raise funds. I have already reached my £200 target for Barnados. My Sands target is £1700 in support of the "Why17" campaign raising awareness of the 17 babies a day that die Neonatally in the UK.
