I am also running the GNR for the first time. I am realy struggling to be honest and I don't think I wil manage to run all the way but I will do my best as I am raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. I have read that if you sign into greatrun.org there is a training section where you can get a personalised training plan, I haven't tried it yet but it might help?

I have had a quick look at it and have also downloaded the Bupa 12 week training plan. I'm pretty sure I will have to walk some of it aswell. How is your fundraising going?

I have set up a just giving page and I am just giving details of that out at the moment. I need to start making a big effort with it now though. I have just finished a college course I have been doing which took up a lot of my spare time as I work full time as well, so I can now focus on the run. I have been running morning and night. My dog is loving it as he is my training partner! How is your training going now?

I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere with the training but still a long long way to go! I am doing a 10k in mid september just to keep the motivation going, but I can't believe how quickly it is all coming around.

I know it has gone so quick since I first registered I promised myself I would not leave all my training till the last few months but I have! Oh well. Are you staying in Newcastle the night before? I am staying for 2 nights but I was shocked at the price!  I didn't expect the room prices to treble as most polpe run the GNR for charity.  I am looking forward to it now though.  To be part of something so massive is going to be great! Can you imagine what the atmosphere is going to be like?

I am just going to check out some hotels or B&B"s now, so i can try and book something tomorrow. I figured they would put them up a bit but didn't realise it would be that much! I probably should have had something booked by now....organised as ever! I could actually get up there in the morning but could do without that hassle to be honest. I know, the atmosphere is going to be amazing isn't it! I did the Race for life in May and that was really emotional actually and it was only 5k!! I'm going to be so chuffed when i've done it, aren't you? Will you be going to the pasta parties in Newcastle then?
