I could cry from the lack of commitment to my event -can you cheer me up?

I'm organising a sponsored toddler toddle and teddy bears picnic in my local area and I've tried everything to try and get people interested. It's been in the local paper, local magazine and it's on a couple of websites too. We've also stood inside the local shopping centre twice handing out flyers and trying to get people signed up with virtually no luck at all.

I'm starting to get completely fed up thinking no one might turn up. I'm hoping it's because people are waiting to find out what the weather is going to be like but that doesn't give much time to get sponsors does it? There's only 3 weeks to go.

We're asking for £5 for entry on the toddle or £6 on the day. Every entrant gets a goody bag, certificate and bear mask. We're getting some really great prizes for our raffle but whats the point if hardly anyone turns up. Its really frustrating. Grrrrrrrr!!!

I'm on the verge of trying to cancel the whole thing and trying to give the money back to the few people that have entered it.

Hi Lou Lou,

Have you tried contacting local nurseries, mother and toddle groups and day centres? If you can get one of those interested it could result in quite a few sign ups.

In my local area we have a few cafes that tend to be popular with mums and toddlers - could be good places to leave a few flyers.

Good Luck

Katherine
