Indifferent [:|] when to get the word out at work ?
Reply Quote
hello all.

i work at the bottom rung of the ladder at, where there is around 1500ish peeps working. I leave to do my big motorcycle ride in early august. I have had generous donations to my cause (the fragile x syndrome society) so far. But coz im not riding off till aug, i was thinking that i should leave it till at least 2 weeks before i go. if i do it now people might not follow the blog i have made, which might deter them from donating, Some say i should get the word out to my fellow workers as soon as, but i disagree, coz its a few months off and what with being attentive to semi strangers at work, things that they are doing hardly there anyway, interest will drift off. What are your opinions ? soon or just before ? . please post what ya recon, even if it seems trivial.

x simon

Hi Simon

I was in a similar position to you when I ran the London Marathon last month. I sent an email out to everyone about 1 month before the event then another email the day after I had run it as a gentle reminder, which proved successful. I think spreading the word now may be a little too early, but I would suggest email if possible as a way of spreading the word and promoting your webpage. Good luck!!!!!
