I'm new to this forum, so first of all hello :) I am going to do an abseil on the 22nd of July for a baby hospice in Middlesbrough, Zoe's Place. It is going to be off the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough - 160 ft up I've never done abseiling before and am starting to get just a little bit nervous!! I'd be really grateful for any tips, advice, past experiences etc. Many thanks in advance Sue    Report

Hey Sue You aint the only one thats nervous- am doing the forth rail bridge abseil & I hate heights. I have done an abseil before but not in over 10 years!!! A Few tips though 1. Do NOT look down! 2. Try to imagine that a celeb you fancy the pants of off is waitin at the bottom for a big kiss 3. Just think of the money you have raised for a very good cause Hopefully they help you out. Hi Sue, i once abseiled myself of the Transporter Bridge, it was an experience of a life time loved it, i finfd the trick is not to look down just keep goin and don't look up or down and think S*** its a long way down OK?    Report
